A neutral. Not going anywhere. Don’t ignore it, embrace it.
Leopard Print, we’ve talked about it before and we’ll talk about it again (no doubt); it’s lost it’s Bet Lynch and Pat Butcher connotations and is there to add a little ding to outfits.
I live in fear of looking too smart/grown up – I have to have something about what I’m wearing that perhaps jars slightly – or my hair, I never do tidy hair. Can’t. It has to be messy in some way. A dash of leopard can be the thing that can jar as well and I’m OK with that.
The pieces I’ve selected below are ones I’d wear separately – with other clothes/colours not all in one go. Yaowzers.
I’ve got a pleather leopard print belt that I wear with my jeans most days. No one usually sees it and that’s fine – I know it’s there and that’s enough for me.
Mine was from M&S…
Topshop have this one in £14
Not for the faint hearted to go full on animal print trousers, but with the red stripe – it adds a little sporty feel. I’d wear these trousers with a white shirt to smarten them a little… and probably trainers.
Topshop £36
If we’re going full on, then lets go full on… Zara have this pleated dress – nothing shy about it… I love it’s simplicity… and that it’s worn with tan sandals. Belted would look good too.
Zara £19.99
Shorter and more formal perhaps from Gina Bacconi Ines Leopard Print dress £90, was £180.
& Other Stories have this effortlessly looking cool Graphic tee, £23
From H&M a lightweight textured coat – I love the whole styling of this, white shoes… alas there are only a few sizes left online – but it may be available in store… be quick.
H&M £34.99
Another more heavy weight coat (I know, so wrong to show this in June), but… OK this is styled with a polo neck, but on cooler summer days and, saying it quietly… into autumn…
M&S £35
Staying in the grey tones this boat neck top from H&M £12.99
Yes, OK, I know this is wrong – this is a full on jumper. But… but…. some days it IS chilly. And this will last.
Whistles £89
A different shade – I love this wine coloured shirt.
& Other Stories £49
Reiss have this most gorgeous Abstract Animal print skirt £135
If the above is all to much… what about some accessories to add in to your repertoire?I’ve still not succumbed to an animal print trainer. It is but a matter of time. I love the small scale print of these.
Mint Velvet Allie print trainer £99
Boots… it’s June. It’s summer. But boots are boots. They work for me at any time. And with this block heel, super walkable.
Zara £49.99
OK, it IS summer… this sandal. Winner.
Zara £25.99
I love this bag for being Leopard print-esque… but not quite.
Foundry Versatile Heart bag £100
And if everything is too much… look at these beautiful bracelets… leopard/tortoise shell – who’s counting?
Mint Velvet £25
