I don’t wear much print, I have friends that don’t wear much print. But somehow in summer, to me, prints seem more possible/wearable/do-able.
The shops – both physical and online are awash with a sea (or field, perhaps) of floral prints. From tops, to dresses, pj’s and shoes… there is something for everyone – even if, like me, anything too girly makes you squirm a little.
So starting off with how we *could* introduce some flowers and florals to our wardrobe, this floral, dark ground printed jumpsuit looks super wear-able.
Monki via Asos, floral print tie waist jumpsuit in black £35

I love everything about this look… the denim shirt toughens this look a little, less girly. Also love the tan sliders…
M&S Floral Print Pretty Ruffle Midi Skirt £35

This is just the most beautiful print… this blouse has more of a cropped look – but with high waisted jeans/trousers or a paper-bag finish waist which sits a little higher there is reduced potential draught/exposure…
& Other Stories floral puff sleeve blouse £65

Have you met the Buffet Dress? The All You Can Eat for a tenner type dress? These next two dresses fall in to the kaftan type/buffet dress – but are oh so loose, wafty and cool as a cucumber type dress – perfect for when the weather makes up it’s mind to do summer properly.
Arket Printed Kaftan £99

Or this fabulous print, also from Arket. As with the above dress, this one below could be worn fast and loose, or belted for a sharper look.
Arket Floral Kaftan Dress £89

I had forgotten about Ghost for years – but they’ve obviously been there rumbling and doing their thing – but more recently they’ve been getting more attention and well, hello, time for a re-look.
This to me, is classic Ghost – timeless and beautiful. Love the boots too.
Ghost Izzy dress £145

Same same different – but again timeless and button through… this doesn’t look like it’s this price – it looks way more.
New Look Red Ditsy Floral Button up Midi dress £27.99

If a dress is too much, a printed floral top might be easier to incorporate into ones wardrobe… I love the earrings also pulling out the yellow of the print.
Hush Molly top £49

A little bit of folk?
Again, from Hush Floral Folk Top £65

Super easy blues – perfect with denim, and just a hint of folksy-ness
Hush Tabitha Top £55

And finally, if outerwear is all too much… these pj’s – utterly gorgeous… I’d probably try and wear the top for day wear… too beautiful not to show off. In truth you can keep the shorts, as much as I’d like to, I wouldn’t.
M&S Rosie for Autograph Pure Modal Pyjama Set £35

So have you, or will you embrace the flower this summer, or just still to the type that need a vase only? xx
Love the flower-power ideas … particularly the Ghost dress, absolutely beautiful x
