A couple of days ago Team E-E and I should have been Eurostar training it down to the South of France for a summer holiday. In the grand scheme of things, with everything else going on in the world it really does not matter a jot that we’ve not gone; and if 14 day quarantining were to come (back?) in having been to France I would HATE to jeopardise the small folk being able to go back to school the moment the schools open. Really hate it.
Though I feel a little sad we’re not going to France – to escape, to rest, and to just stop, when we’re there (we’ve been before) I can cope with the heat a little better – there are water type facilities – ie, the sea, to help keep cool, and also a beautiful deceptive coastal breeze…
We’re fortunate to have a garden here in London with shady areas which can offer some respite from the hot still heat, but really, without air conditioning, surely I’m not alone in thinking that all we really want to do is still around in our pants?
Sitting in around in just our pants isn’t always appropriate sadly. So I’ve looked at some wafty/un-clingy dresses that would allow as little breeze to move about and upwards even… I’ve also found some nice pants if you were to think to hell with it…
This beauty would allow for some mega-wafting.
H&M Cotton Beach Dress £24.99

The above dress, though described as a ‘beach dress’ would possibly need some bigger pants if worn in another situation,.. how about these?
Myla Covent Garden High Waist Brief in Black £85

Brace yourselves… some beautiful and colourful brights are on their way… I don’t know what’s come over me. It must be the heat,

Cos Sleeveless printed dress £59

Stripe & Stare knickers are a little bit fabulous – cheeky prints, brilliant colours and hailed as the most comfortable knickers around… also made from fabric derived from beech-wood which is super sustainable (& used far less water in the production of the fabric than cotton) and allows one to breathe…
Stripe & Stare World Earth Day Knicker £15

Sublime simplicity (we’ll get on to bras to wear with very soon)

Oysho are a must-see lingerie shop, were a must-see, back in the day when travel for work happened – all hail online shopping. These pants are so plain and clean cut, but possibly quite perfect as a solution type knicker – available in leather (shown below) and black.

Finally… I’d like this dress, and the lifestyle (where I could keep it clean) to go with it…

Loved your choice of dresses, particularly the black one at the beginning and the white one at the end … can’t get away from black and white. Yet the pink tiered Gap dress was also appealing, didn’t know they were out there…thank you for research x
