So the weather forecast is saying that by the end of the week that the temperature is going to drop. By quite a bit. Whilst we’ve thankfully had lashings of sunny and good weather over this strangest of summers; allowing for door step drinks and afternoon tea parties in gardens, I’m also feeling a little ready for the switch in the season.
I say this now of course… give me a few weeks time and if autumn kicks in properly and we’re left desperately trying to have a conversation with friends and glass of… outside the front door whilst the wind howls and the rain lashes – I may revise this.
The what-to-wear-factor? Well, I’m ready for the change up. The New Arrivals sections online are looking tempting with the berry, mustards, greens and navys… I’m also drawn, brace yourself, to some prints. I know.
I’m all about the layering up (& down) of favourites that I wear year round, a close fitting roll or turtle neck top that adds essential warmth that can be worn under a dress or shorter sleeved something can look fabulous – also great for clashing prints or introducing a little colour or interest.

I love the dusky pink trousers worn with this top above – it’s a colour that sits so well with chocolates, khaki, navy etc as well. These trousers below are slightly paler, but I love the rounded shape of the leg.
