Cosy Up; Lockdown 2.0

So here we go again. Lockdown 2.0 – it feels different to last time – last time we were fearful (amongst other things), this time we are weary and fearful (amongst other things).

In order to remain sort of vaguely together we’re going to need to really need to look after ourselves. Warm and cosy has to be the name of the game no? Little small things that are going to make us smile and offer a little comfort. We’re all spending more time at home, whether we’re still working, working from home or furloughed – we’re sure as hell not going out.

Each Christmas some girlfriends and I do a Secret Santa between us – a set budget and one of the kids will then take it upon themselves to work out who is going to buy for whom and then text each one of us. Last year I added in the critieria that we had to buy from a small independant – whether online or a real life store. We all suceeded.

Kind of tricky to perhaps shop small and local and the moment as so many non essential shops have had to close here, but online they hopefully can shine? Shop Small, Shop Local. Next best thing in this situation is shop small independants online… so I’m looking at Etsy for this blogpost. It’s taken me a while to get my head around Etsy as the site is so very vast – being clear with words in the search engine helps – and having a little time to scroll through.
