Christmas Gift List

So other than peace and good will to all women, men and children this Christmas time, oh and a seriously quick roll out of the vaccine’s that have been developed – what to buy as gifts for Christmas in a year like no other?

In a year where everything has changed – we’ve probably become more aware than ever of what and where we’re spending our money… we could line Jeff Bezos’ pocket a little more, or… Now I ‘use’ Amazon as much as the next person for all sorts of things that I can’t buy locally or… but… if we can, it would be the best thing ever to buy from small independent brands and shops just here and there, or where ever possible this Christmas?

So this is a bit of a round up of some brands or retailers that I follow, or have found more recently that do some lovely Christmas Gift type things.
Spoiler alert, though this blog is usually about all things fashion – well… this Christmas list has other things too…

Whatever colour coat you (I mean someone else) might wear, these wrist warmers will warm and brighten your day.

Candles or candle holders can be a traditional Christmas gift, how about a twist on that? Love this. So much.

I have a huge long list of books I’d love to receive this Christmas. As so many non-essential shops are currently closed due to Covid, this is a most brilliant way to support our local book shops. Go to the store locator to find your local store and then buy from them… as opposed to that big warehouse place based up the M1.

Toiletries are a Christmas gift essential no? I think these would be perfect for a tricky teenager or anyone for that matter… vegan, sulphate free, plastic free and give a little back to charity with each purchase.

It is a sign of age I know, but I’m OK with it… but I love a hamper. This year we’re doing some DIY versions; we’re currently in the process of picking bits up here and there. There’s something a bit lovely about sending foodie things, not only are they (often) a treat, but then once finished, gone. (Oh to find a random jar of chutney in the cupboard come March, happy happy days).
I’m very taken with these as a treat. For Christmas or anytime.
